Discuss → Movies → Spider-Man 3 → General. Still, this cut is a step in the right direction, even if the edits are sloppy in places. Even with this editor's cut, it sucks that there is still a lot of deleted scenes. I always felt that Spider-Man 3 was overly bashed. Or to be more precise, a new version of an old film the movie in question is the much-maligned Spider-Man 3, the 2007 film that ultimately ended up being the last appearance of Tobey Maguire as the Wall-Crawler, and director Sam Raimi's last time.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is little over a month away from release, but before that hits cinemas a 'new' Spider-Man film has been made available. It certainly can't save the film-and it still hurts to read about the wonderful, original plans for Spider-Man 3's plot-but this revised cut of the film does fix some of the pacing issues, and gives Harry a little more motivation for his actions.
